Vicar Peter Lewis comments:

"We want to keep this as our intention in everything we do:

That we might grow in following the Lord Jesus so that we can  lead others to Him.  In the Year 2004, and as God leads, we aim to follow our Mission Statement through these means:"

 * * * * * * * * * *

·         To deepen our discipleship:  God calls us all to keep growing in faith and to discover more and more of his character and power in our lives through Sunday worship, Bible study and prayer groups, and Sunday School & our Youth Club.

 ·         To share in mission.  The Church is here to do more than just survive; Jesus has given us a command to bring good news to those around us and to welcome people into his kingdom.

 ·         To extend our caring.  We are all engaged in pastoral ministry through caring for one another and those around us and this year we want to  --

 ·         To rejoice in our worship.  In this parish we use a wide variety of worship services, but what matters is our meeting together to give ourselves to God in worship.  Within our congregations, God has given people good gifts and we will seek to develop these and hidden abilities.  This year we have been:

·         To utilise our buildings.  At St Cadoc’s church, we have installed a disabled access toilet & kitchen area which now helps us use the building for social functions and makes it easy to have refreshments after services.   At St Mary’s, we've decided to convert the church into a community building for use for many local groups a well as still being used for worship.  Some £300,000 is required to change the interior of the church and we have made applications to large funding bodies in the UK.  Designed with renewable energy resources, we have a vision for the building to become a focus of transformation within the area.  In Resolven, we have a well-furnished church and the facility of the church hall in the centre of the village.  The hall is already a centre for various local community groups, but it would be good to make use of the building to start up some prayer and Bible study meetings.
