The Memorials

The nave contains various plaques in memorial to past clergy, men from the area who were killed in World War I and a number of local gentry.

The vaults beneath the church holding the remains of many of the Williams family are reached beneath a stone slab at the chancel step, but this access is now bricked up.  Here are some details:

Rees Williams (and wife Ann) who built this building as the chapel in 1810 has a white marble memorial surmounted by crest with scroll and family coat of arms and the family motto.  He is remembered as a man  "on whom providence had bestowed abilities of a superior order and a most benevolent heart."
